Rev. Richard Wong came to Kaumakapili at a time when the church was in turmoil. Many of what remains today is due to his ministry which includes the Kalihi and Palama Health Clinic. It was through his foresight that the Kaumakapili Church luau has been in existence for almost fifty years.
